ihug
This is the only time that doing a great job resulted in losing a client. We came on board at a time of uncertainty for ihug. Their brand was losing its way and we were commissioned to look at creating a new logo and brand direction for the once industry leading ISP.
We spent 2 1/2 great years returning the brand to where it belonged.
First up was convincing ihug that their logo was awesome, and that all it needed was more consistent treatment and a bit of a clean up. Then came simplifying their advertising, their messages and their projected personality. Along with a fantastic PR effort (handled by ihug) ihug recaptured its position as the people’s champion. The battler, the outsider, the enfant terrible.
As a result they were gobbled up by Vodafone and we had to say goodbye.
We miss you ihug (as does New Zealand).
